''Game Changing Genius'' - Arsenal Fans Gush Over Mesut Ozil Performance As Outcast Returns Against Burnley

Few players in the world divide opinion like Mesut Ozil does and the German international was at it again this afternoon against Burnley

The former Real Madrid star has been left out completely in recent weeks by Unai Emery but he was returned to the starting line-up today against Burnley and it is fair to say that the fans were impressed.

The 30-year-old always seems to be terrible or brilliant and it was the latter today as he ran the show for much of the game against relegation threatened Burnley. It helped that he was given the freedom of the Emirates at times by a poor opposing team but the quality in the feet of the Arsenal captain was evident as he produced one or two moments of pure class.

The Arsenal fans took to twitter to welcome Ozil back to the team and the response to his performance in the game was an outpouring of love from those of a Gunners persuasion.

Ozil really is the world’s most frustrating player. When he’s up for it like today he’s a sublimely talented game-changing genius. Just wish his heart matched his ability. #afc - (@piersmorgan)

Dear Unai, Having tactical reasons is important but playing Mesut Ozil is importanter. Regards. - (@WellBeast)

We’ve created more chances in the opening 10 minutes today than in the last two games. The difference? Mesut Ozil. - (@Lacazettes)

It wasn't all positive though with may pointing out that is excellent performance today make's Ozil's no show weeks all the more frustrating...

That’s what Mesut Ozil can do, tease a ball through tight spaces. Such a gifted footballer with vision and technique. Issues with consistency, tracking back, seizing games against the elite etc, but the talent is undeniable. Emery challenging Ozil could be the making of him - (@henrywinter)

He has his critics, but if you ever need a player to make something happen against a bottom-six side at home, Mesut Ozil is your man.  - (@paddypower)

So today was a good day for Mesut Ozil, what will next week bring?
