Barcelona are desperate for Champions League success this season. It has been a painful few years for the Catalans in Europe having seen their fiercest rivals Real Madrid win four out of the last five Champions League trophies.

Now things are stepping up a level in Barcelona training as they prepare for their second leg against Lyon, with the focus on reaching the last eight once again. All the players look up for the game, with the small obstacle of Real Vallecano to hurdle in La Liga this weekend.

One man who is yet to make a starting XI  place his own at the Nou Camp is mega-signing from Liverpool, Philippe Coutinho. He is struggling to get into Ernesto Valverde’s side who are currently sitting on a seven-point lead at the top of the table and playing some excellent football.

The gaffer’s preferred front three appears to be Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Ousmane Dembele whilst Coutinho has made several appearances off the bench. His teammates, however, appear to be wanting more from the Brazilian with Gerard Pique beginning to lose patience with him in training.

In one of Barcelona’s famous ‘Rondo’ training sessions, the players were attempting to keep the ball up when the ball headed towards Coutinho. He failed to respond in time and Pique then shouted at him, via Marca “Come on Phil, you're not plugged in.”

You can see this video down below, Coutinho has work to do if he is to impress him distinguished Barcelona teammates.
