Man of the moment Mohamed Salah continued his stunning form in front of goal after netting the opener in Egypt’s match against Portugal on Friday night.
It was a pretty good goal too.
The Liverpool man, who leads the Premier League goalscoring charts with a whopping 28 strikes, received the ball on the edge of the area in the 56th minute of the match at the Letzigrund Stadion in Zurich.
On his favoured left boot he expertly whipped the ball into the bottom left-hand corner of the net past the helpless Portugal goalkeeper Beto to give Egypt a 1-0 lead.
Such is his supreme confidence and superb form that the Egyptian hero didn’t even have to take a touch, it was all carried out in one fluid motion, as he bagged his 38th goal in his last 44 games.
However, Cristiano Ronaldo refused to have the thunder snatched from his grasp as Portugal's talisman then bagged a brace in injury time to hand his side a smash-and-grab 2-1 victory, which extended the country’s unbeaten run to 14 matches (in 90 minutes).
Both players will be looking to play a starring role at the rapidly approaching 2018 World Cup.
Salah unsurprisingly played a key part in Egypt’s qualification, as he helped his country progress through to their first World Cup since way back in 1990.
Egypt have since been placed in Group A alongside hosts Russia, Saudi Arabia and Uruguay, with their opening match against the latter on 15th June.
For those interested - and there’s sure to be a few - Salah is a 50/1 shot to finish as the tournament’s top goalscorer, while Ronaldo is available at 14/1, behind favourites Lionel Messi and Neymar.
