Gonzalo Higuain On The Brink Of Chelsea Move As Two Major Hints Dropped

AC Milan forward Gonzalo Higuain is on the brink of joining his former boss Maurizio Sarri at Chelsea after the club dropped two major hints of his absence today. First of all, with the club preparing in Saudi Arabia ahead of their Italian Supercup game, Higuain was absent from a team photo that featured every other player.

Even the manager and members of staff were pictured alongside the Saudi Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal who was given a shirt from the AC Milan squad. The club said it was due to some therapeutic treatment taking place although with other injured players pictured that seems unlikely.

Now GianLucaDiMarzio have reported out that Higuain will miss tonight’s game as he has a fever, this is despite the player seeming fully fit in training yesterday. Even his manager Gennaro Gattuso said in his press conference:

“I won’t answer any more questions on Higuain, we’ve been talking about this for 20 minutes. Higuain will 90-99 percent start tomorrow, now can we please talk about the game?”

So yesterday he was almost fully fit and ready to start however now he is unavailable, meaning it is likely something has moved through with his move to Stamford Bridge.

Gatusso has said previously that the player has not told him of his intentions:

“Higuain is always smiling and joking with his teammates. Probably something changed after the penalty missed and the red card against Juve. I want to stress the fact that Gonzalo has never come to me to tell me he wants to leave"

Chelsea fans can start to dream, they could be about to land one of the most feared strikers in world football!
