Stars from the world of football, including Sir Alex Ferguson, Harry Redknapp, Sam Allardyce, Bryan Robson, Michael Owen and Nicky Butt, descended on The Stock Exchange Hotel on Thursday night as BrightHR and the Peninsula Group held a VIP party to celebrate overcoming the adversity presented by COVID and launch a brand new ad campaign - The New HR.

The highlight of the evening, which also included employees and directors from group companies, clients, partners and BrightHR ambassador Andy Reid MBE, was a Q&A with Eamonn Holmes and former Tottenham Hotspur boss Harry Redknapp. Redknapp, the star of the new ad campaign, shared stories from his incredible life that had the audience in stitches. CEO Peter Done even presented the I’m A Celebrity winner with an ‘Oscar’ following his show-stopping performance.

The ad campaign coincides with the release of several new BrightHR features including an AI answer platform, giving businesses free HR advice at the touch of a button, and a free marketplace for businesses to promote their products.

The London Essentials and DJ Helen Holt got the crowd going with musical performances throughout the evening.

Peter Done, Founder and CEO of the Peninsula Group, said: “It’s been a wonderful evening of celebration with some dear friends and employees, honouring the incredible COVID heroes who’ve gone over and above to deliver excellent service to our clients, despite the challenges of the last 1.5 years. I’m so proud of the whole team and it was marvellous to be able to get together and celebrate in person again.”

Alan Price, CEO of BrightHR said: “It was great to finally see our new TV campaign on the big screen! Harry Redknapp had us all laughing with stories from his life and we’re delighted that he agreed to star in our ad campaign, further demonstrating the growth of BrightHR and the unique support we have been able to offer business across the country throughout the pandemic.
