Reigning Paralympic champion Jonnie Peacock who has been selected for the T64 100m, will look to make it a hat-trick of titles at the Paralympics following his heroics in London and Rio, after the 28-year-old was among a further 32 athletes announced by Team GB ahead of the Paralympic Games this summer.
He will be joined by fellow gold medallists Libby Clegg and Kadeena Cox. Six-time Paralympic gold medallist David Weir will compete on both the track and road for Team GB. He will race in the 1500m and 5,000m on the track before the marathon on the final day of the Games which will be Sunday 5 September.
Clegg and guide runner Chris Clarke, who won double gold in Rio, will concentrate on the T11 200m while Cox, who will be challenging in two sports again after being named in the cycling team, will try and defend her T38 400m title.
