15:09, 16 Jan 2019

The Road To Cheltenham continues this week with the latest episode of the Jumps Racing Podcast which is brought to you this season in association with The Sportsman.

Our hosts, Sean Raymond and Chris Knight, are back with another jam-packed edition as they discuss the chances of Supreme Novices' Hurdle favourite Angels Breath at Haydock this weekend.

Will the Nicky Henderson trained horse become a Festival banker with a big win this weekend in Lancashire, or will his bubble burst in the Grade 2 Rossington Main Novices' Hurdle?

There is also a look ahead to the Clarence House Chase with the brilliant Altior set to take on a small field of rivals in search for his latest Grade 1 win and there is also a preview of the Grade 2 Chase at Thurles on Sunday with one or two potential Gold Cup horses entered at the five day stage.

Top trainer Neil Mulholland joins Sean with the latest instalment of his national hunt diary and it is perfect timing following the success of Impulsive Star in the Classic Chase at Warwick on Saturday. Neil gives the listeners the inside track on his Festival chances in March and also looks back on the great Midnight Chase who sadly passed away this week after a short illness.

Finally, the brilliant A-to-Z of jumps racing heroes series continues with L and a three time winner of the Cleeve Hurdle who wasn't big in stature, but had a massive heart for trainer Venetia Williams.
