Jose Mourinho may not have a job in football management any more but he remains one of the famous people in the sport and he is once again making waves in his new job as a TV pundit.
"The Special One" has once again been working for beIN Sports this weekend and he was on the panel for their coverage of El Clasico last night as Barcelona beat Real Madrid 1-0 to extend their lead at the top of La Liga.
The Portuguese coach spent much of his time at Man United moaning about his players and it does appear as if the modern game is starting to pass by a coach who was once considered the best in the world.
The former Chelsea gaffer was excellent value on the show as you would expect but he couldn't resist a dig at the modern player who promotes himself on social media.The 56-year-old was heaping praise on Ivan Rakitic for his quality on the ball and his work rate but as always there was more to what he was saying than first meets the eye...
Rakitic is one of the most underrated players in the world....He needs to improve his Instagram and social media because in this moment this is very important and he's not very good on that but he's very good on the pitch!"
I't won't be too hard to think of players Mourinho has managed in recent years that maybe more famous for their social media activity than their ability on the pitch and it appears as if Rakitic is the ideal player for the famous coach.
The win for Barcelona was of course the highlight of the night on the pitch but there was plenty of interesting comments in the studio with perhaps the most famous unemployed coach in the world keeping his face in the news once again.
