Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri will face a gargantuan task tomorrow afternoon as he attempts to beat Manchester City in the final of the Carabao Cup at Wembley, with the game potentially having a big say on whether he is axed as Blues boss.
Some woeful results in recent months has seen Sarri become the favourite for the sack, and he will have dreadful recent memories of City's 6-0 thumping of his Blues side in the Premier League, but tomorrow's cup finale will give him the chance to make amends for that loss.
Sarri has been questioned over his selection issues as he continues to play the same despite defeats, and a host of Blues fans have been perplexed as to why he hasn't been starting young English talent Callum Hudson-Odoi.
Hudson-Odoi has had to sit and wait his turn at Stamford Bridge and he has struggled to secure a regular spot, but the exciting youthful star has been given a huge boost in confidence by his teammate Olivier Giroud, who has likened Hudson-Odoi to French World Cup winner Kylian Mbappe.
Speaking to BeIn, Giroud heaped praise on Hudson-Odoi labelling him similar to Mbappe, who has fast become one of the stars of world football.
Giroud said: "Callum Hudson-Odoi is a very talented young player who resembles Kylian Mbappe."
High praise indeed from Giroud, who played alongside Mbappe during France's recent World Cup win, and Hudson-Odoi will want to show Sarri that he is worthy of that praise from Giroud, but the young star may have to settle for a place on the bench tomorrow against City, who will be red-hot favourites to lift the trophy.
