Horse Racing Tip: Harry Redknapp's Runner Can Go In For In-Form Stable

Horse Racing Tip: Harry Redknapp's Runner Can Go In For In-Form Stable
13:15, 21 Mar 2018

There are five meetings across the UK and Ireland today with jumps fixtures from Haydock, Chepstow and Limerick as well as all-weather action from Southwell this afternoon and Kempton this evening. It's from the London venue this evening where my selection comes in the 20:15 class 4 handicap over 6 furlongs.

Trainer Simon Dow sends his 4-year-old colt Sparkalot here to Kempton this evening hoping for more success after he was a winner over course and distance back in January. Interestingly, this son of Bated Breath is part-owned by the one and only Harry Redknapp and has only raced six times in his career and has managed to be first past the post on three of those occasions.

Five of those six runs came here at Kempton and with 60% of those being wins, it is hard to look past him for tonight's contest. When winning last time out he did hang left in the finish and Luke Morris was instrumental in dealing those issues and there's not many I'd rather have in the saddle for tonight's race.

When looking into the stats of trainer Simon Dow we can see that on the all-weather over the past 5 years, backing his horses aged 4 and above has yielded a £19.82 profit to £1 stakes with 42 winners from 358 runners. He has already been popular in the market and it's easy to see why when looking at the form. At the current prices, I'm advising a 1 point win.
