Horse Racing Tip: Improving Handicapper Can Win Up In Trip At Lingfield

Horse Racing Tip: Improving Handicapper Can Win Up In Trip At Lingfield
10:13, 23 Mar 2018

Last night’s tip Malaysian Boleh did the business readily at Chelmsford, compensating supporters for his unlucky defeat in his previous race. With a spring in our steps, from that we move onto today in the hopes of finding a winner to launch into the weekend with.

We didn’t need to look through the cards for long to find one that we liked and it goes in the first race of the day, the 13:35 at Lingfield.

Brett Johnson’s Violet’s Lad has been lightly campaigned to date and is one we like the profile of.

Racing over 7f at the course last time he put in a pleasing display to finish second and show that he’s still improving on what was just his fourth start on the all-weather.

Given a couple of months out of the office since, he should be freshened up and ready to continue on his upward trend this afternoon.

Having been placed over a mile on the turf in his younger days, the step up to that trip today shouldn’t inconvenience him.

He’s got talented apprentice Callum Sheppard to help him around and that’s a big plus in our book; he’s a bit of value for his 3lb claim.

He’s well drawn in three and Sheppard should be able to do as he pleases from there.

The 7/1 available at morning price is more than fair and we’re willing to take a nice each-way interest onboard. All going well we can continue our fruitful week to date.
