How Would Chelsea Replace Eden Hazard? The Manchester United And Dortmund Stars Who Could Move To Stamford Bridge

Chelsea are sweating on the future of their talisman, Eden Hazard, as rumours about his future continue to swirl and the Belgian playmaker hinted that a transfer "is possible" during an interview with French television at the weekend.

Hazard said he wouldn't leave Stamford Bridge in January but that a move could happen in June if he doesn't sign an extension to his current contract, which expires in the summer of 2020.

It would appear as if Chelsea need to start preparing for a future without the 27-year-old and we take a look at three youngsters they could sign to try to replace the seemingly irreplaceable playmaker...

Christian Pulisic (Borussia Dortmund)
The Blues have been linked with a move for Borussia Dortmund's brilliant Christian Pulisic and he would appear to be the most likely man to fill Hazard's boots in the long-term. The USA international has scored 15 goals and laid on 24 assists in 110 games for Dortmund and he is increasingly likely to depart the Bundesliga soon.

Pulisic is still only 20 years old and he would surely relish the opportunity to step into Hazard's sizeable shoes.

Andreas Pereira (Manchester United)
The Mirror have suggested that Chelsea could be ready to sign Andreas Pereira from Manchester United for just £10m. The Brazilian is out of contract at Old Trafford in the summer and the Red Devils do have an option to extend that deal by another year, although The Mirror claim that United are ready to cash in on the player.

Jose Mourinho has often used the 22-year-old as a defensive midfielder in a bid to curb is attacking instincts and he has fallen swiftly out of favour this season. Could Pereira flourish in a more attacking position and in a more forward-thinking team than United?

Pereira has only played a grand total of 598 minutes of first-team football across 18 games during his Manchester United career and he has appeared in just four top-flight games this term. The Brazilian hasn't started a single game since he was hauled off at half-time of United's embarrassing 3-2 defeat to Brighton in August.

Jadon Sancho (Borussia Dortmund)
Another player for the future, Jadon Sancho has already been linked with a move to Chelsea this season. The 18-year-old starlet has made a huge impression with Borussia Dortmund, scoring five goals and laying on eight assists in eighteen outings in all competitions, and his exceptional form has been enough to force his way into Gareth Southgate's England side.

Sancho has already picked up three caps for the national team and his development may be better served by playing first-team football with Dortmund in the Bundesliga.
