Alexis Sanchez and club captain Antonio Valencia have been dropped from the Manchester United starting XI for tonight's game against Newcastle United at Old Trafford.
He is one of several changes made by under-fire manager Jose Mourinho as the Red Devils seek their first home league win since the opening day of the season.
Just a few days ago Valencia was forced to furiously backpedal after 'liking' an anti Mourinho post on Instagram.
Ashley Young comes in for Valencia while Scott McTominay replaces Marouane Fellaini. Sanchez drops to the bench - Frenchman Anthony Martial takes his spot.
Reports last night suggested this would be Mourinho's final game in charge - regardless of whether they win or lose. The club moved to deny those rumours today but speculation about the Portugese manager's future remains intense.
Meanwhile, the Manchester United team includes Luke Shaw at left-back and there's a start for Marcus Rashford after some decent displays in recent weeks. Anthony Martial has also been given a chance to impress.
The Red Devils are still without the injured Marcos Rojo, Ander Herrera and Jesse Lingard.
Visitors Newcastle have handed a debut to Japanese forward Yoshinori Muto, previously employed as a substitute. Rafa Benitez has made three changes to the team which lost to Leicester City last weekend. Federico Fernández is back after injury while Javier Manquillo starts. Paul Dummett is injured.
Martin Dúbravka, who made his Newcastle debut in last season's 1-0 win against Manchester United at St James' Park, starts in goal for the Magpies.
DeAndre Yedlin will start at right-back with Fernández lining up alongside captain Jamaal Lascelles in defence.
