On a fine days racing it’s Kempton that’s caught our eye and we’ll go to their 20:15 for the first of our two daily tips.
There are two bang on-form operators taking each other on here in Karijini and Higher Court.
The former is a 4-year-old filly of Archie Watson’s who won two on the spin recently before being second at Newcastle last time.
She put in a bold front-running display last time and only got collared close to the line. It’s not easy to go from the front on the straight course in the north east and she still looks ahead of her mark by a good deal.
Oisin Murphy is a fine man to bring her around and she’ll surely go close. At 15/8, though, she’s short enough and there’s another more generously priced one we want to be siding with tonight.
Higher Court is on the hunt for a course and distance four-timer and must have a live chance.
Emma Jones’ old boy has been considerately campaigned and should be able to cope with a 5lb rise in the weights. He saw off the thriving Pulsating in the last of his winning races here and that’s a feather in his cap.
He’s receiving 5lbs from the favourite Karijini and the younger animal would want to have her wits about her to beat Higher Court around Kempton while doing that.
At odds of 13/2, we’re very happy to support his efforts and pick up a smidgen of place money at the very least.
