The International break has been long and difficult for most football fans, the thought of club football being on the back burner for two weeks is difficult to cope with but finally we can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

The big leagues around Europe explode back into life over the next few days with the final part of the season on the agenda with massive games at both ends of the tables in various leagues to take in.

The next 48 hours will see the key matches coming thick and fast with the game at Anfield on Sunday between Liverpool and Spurs perhaps the key one in England as the race for the title and the Champions League hotting up. There are very few doubts that this is a massive game for all sorts of reasons at the pointy end of the Premier League with Liverpool desperate to keep up the heat on Manchester City with the clock ticking on the season.

The Anfield clash is far from the only big match this weekend across Europe though with TV fans set for one of the very best weekends of armchair viewing of the entire season.

We have picked out the three games, apart from Liverpool v Spurs, that you cannot afford to miss..

Middlesbrough v Norwich - Saturday @ 5.30pm

The race for the Premier League is going down to the wire in the Championship and there is a massive game in the second tier of English football on Saturday evening. Norwich has been sensational in recent weeks and win away from home would go a long way to securing their promotion back to the top flight. Conversely, Boro have been awful of late but remain in play-off hunt which means they too need to go for the throat. A tea time thriller on Teeside.

Celtic v Rangers - Sunday @ Noon

An Old Firm clash is never to be missed, regardless of the form of the two teams going into the contest. Rangers have slipped away in recent weeks but Steven Gerrard will have the bit between his teeth for this one and the Gers would love nothing more than throwing a spanner in the works of their biggest rivals on the way to the title in Scotland. Tune in for the atmosphere alone.

Inter Milan v Lazio - Sunday @ 7.30pm

The Scudetto race in Italy is already over with Juventus miles clear but the same can't be said of the race for Champions League race with a number of teams, including Lazio and Inter, fighting it out for a place at the top table of European football next season. Lazio know that they need three points if they are to get back in the top four race which means we should get an entertaining game at San Siro. The ideal Sunday night viewing.
