''It's The Best Thing For Manchester United'' - Mark Goldbridge Reacts To Sacking Of Jose Mourinho

Jose Mourinho's sacking was the right decision according to Manchester United fan Mark Goldbridge.

This morning, Goldbridge, who is well known on social media for his reactions to all things United was in Manchester as a guest on The Sportsman's Perfect 10 show when news of Mourinho's exit broke and he had plenty to say about the Portugese.

"Christmas has come early and we can feast," he said.

"I think it's the best thing for Manchester United - we've got what we wanted and what we needed. Jose Mourinho was never, ever going to turn this around and he needed to go.

"He guaranteed a title in his first two years at every club but I think Jose Mourinho's a bit like a Sega Master System, he's had his day. It's all about PlayStations and X-Boxes now and that's your Pochettino, that's your Pep, that's maybe your Zidane... who knows?"

Mourinho's departure came after United's dismal 3-1 defeat at Liverpool on Sunday and Goldbridge believes the time was right for the club to act.

"The reality is, we've got winnable games like Cardiff and Huddersfield," he said. "If Jose Mourinho had been given these games it would have been unfair. He's losing his job because he went to Anfield and put up such a weak performance like that and I think the club has sent a big statement. If you are Manchester United manager, it's unacceptable to allow Liverpool to get three easy points.

"He's gone, it's over. It's right, I'm happy. Jose Mourinho I will respect your Wikipedia page forever. There has been enough bad results, it should have happened earlier.

"This has been done five months earlier that I expected. We don't want to Arsenal moaning about Mourinho like they did about Wenger. I am really excited about what we can do."
