Oakland and Jon Gruden got their first win of the season last week when they downed Cleveland 45-42 in overtime. The Browns thought they'd salted the game away in the fourth quarter when Carlos Hyde got a first down, but a review showed he'd come up short and the Raiders had their chance to get back into the game.
"It feels like my first win in 100 years," said Gruden. But it'll be back to business as usual for Oakland this weekend with the LA Chargers' defence coming to town.
Game of the week takes place in Arrowhead Stadium as the snot-bubbling Sacksonville defence heads to Kansas to take on the explosive multi-faceted Chiefs offense led by the other-wordly Patrick Mahomes. Mahomes and co had too much for the Denver D last time out but with two sticky cornerbacks in AJ Bouye and Jalen Ramsey, athletic linebackers and a fearsome defensive line rotation, the Jags can pull the upset.
Talking of the Denver Broncos, they're coming off their second straight loss after two comeback wins to begin the season. But their third-ranked rushing offense will see them come out of New York with a win over the Jets.
All's not well in Seattle. With key linebacker KJ Wright already out, the formerly formidable Legion of Boom lost safety Earl Thomas for the year. That's not great news when you're hosting the 4-0 Rams who beat you 42-7 at the end of last season. Expect Sean McVay's LA to stay undefeated after this divisional match-up.
Despite a tidy array of weapons for Eli Manning in 2018, the Giants offense is struggling, ranked 29th in the NFL. Carolina were on their bye week last week and Ron Rivera's side have won their last three games after their week off.
