John Lineker Puts Brian Kelleher To Sleep In Stunning UFC 224 Win

The UFC returned to Brazil at the weekend and it produced more than its fair share of action thanks to one or two remarkable finishes.

On a card littered with big fights and stunning wins, it was John Lineker who stole the show thanks to his brutal win over Brian Kelleher. The Bantamweight contest ended midway through round three with Lineker producing one of the highlight knock outs of 2018 so far, and one that we won't be forgetting anytime soon.

One of the biggest UFC stars in South America, the 27-year-old delighted the fans in Rio to take his UFC record to 31-8 and put his name back in the spotlight. Lineker stalked Kelleher before unleashing a stunning left hand which left his 31-year-old opponent out cold on the canvas. Game over.

It was a fourth win in five bouts for the Brazilian and he now has his sights set firmly on a big fight as soon as possible. The heavy-handed fighter is now looking to get in the cage with a top five ranked opponent and a shot at a title but it remains to be seen if he gets his wish, with the majority of the big names in the division currently tied up with other bouts.

Whatever happens in the future for Lineker, he is clearly a man to be feared with his punching power second to none as he proved once again with this brutal performance.

The durable Kelleher was the unfortunate fighter on the end of one of the most eye catching knock-outs of the year and it really does have to be seen to be believed.
