Inter Milan has emerged as the most likely destination for Jose Mourinho should he be sacked by Manchester United.
The future of the United manager was thrown into doubt on Friday when a report from the Mirror suggested that he'd be sacked irrespective of whether the club beat Newcastle United at Old Trafford on Saturday.
United officials have since denied that they are about to pull the trigger on Mourinho who has presided over a hugely disappointing start to the season in all competitions. During the summer, Mourinho was unable to bring in as many players as he wanted to and a simmering row with Paul Pogba resulted in the Frenchman being stripped of the United captaincy.
Sacking Mourinho would cost United an estimated £20million and despite his tumultuous stint at Old Trafford, he is unlikely to be out of the game for long given his amazing record of winning trophies.
One of his former clubs, Inter Milan, looks like being a possible option for Mourinho should he leave Manchester. Inter have returned to Champions League action this season but there have been some concerns about their current coach Luciano Spalletti.
Today, you can get odds of 4/5 on Zinedine Zidane to be the next man in at Old Trafford. The Frenchman has been without a club since surprisingly resigning as Real Madrid manager just days after they beat Liverpool in the Champions League Final.
Mourinho is 11/4 to be the next boss of Inter while you can get him at odds of 7/2 to take over as the Portugal national boss.
