Even in the afterglow of one of his greatest wins as Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho still had time to start talking about traffic.
Having been fined for arriving late for a Champions League game at their own ground against Valencia, Mourinho made reference to the "amazing" escort the United team bus was given to the stadium in Turin.
"I am really proud of my boys because the performance was really good," said Mourinho after United had completed a remarkable comeback against Juventus.
"We have a final now to play at home. We thought we were going to have two finals to play and now we have one. If we win that 'final' against Young Boys and my mathematics are right, we will qualify with a victory.
"Now I leave it to Old Trafford people - if we arrive at the match on time - I hope we don't arrive late. We had an amazing escort here - an AMAZING escort. Thank you so much to the Italian police for that. Let's hope that we can arrive on time and get the three points against Young Boys."
Greater Manchester Police (GMP) had plenty to say when Mourinho made reference to the lack of an escort for the United team bus earlier in the season. With comments like last night's, it's clear Mourinho is already planning on how best to beat the traffic. Mourinho claimed GMP had denied them a police escort for the short trip from their Lowry Hotel base in Salford to the stadium, which led to the bus being stuck in traffic for 75 minutes.
