After acquiring Jorginho, his exceptional midfield general from Napoli, new Chelsea manager, Maurizio Sarri, has reportedly now got his sights set on bringing in Juventus star Miralem Pjanic.

Speculation has gone wild after the deep lying playmaker refused to answer questions on his Juventus future, where he instead walked out on his press conference last week. If Chelsea were to sign the outstanding Bosnian, it would be a real coup for them, as he's one of the finest midfielders in Europe, something he's proven throughout his time in Italy with AS Roma and Juventus.

Well aware of his exploits, Sarri has witnessed first hand the talent of Pjanic, who's demonstrated his class against Sarri when he managed both Empoli and Napoli.

A brilliant passer, who possesses a fantastic range, Pjanic does a tremendous job of animating and dictating his team's offensive phases. He has that unique quality to hit passes that not everyone can see as he uses his vision, awareness and execution to pinpoint teammates in advantageous locations. Indeed, playing within Sarri's ultra attacking style, that features plenty of fast, short passing combinations will suit him wonderfully if he decides to join.

Also very adept at carrying the ball upfield, his clever touches to avoid or bypass his marker and how he cunningly creates a free man upfield by provoking pressing actions are certainly key too.

Meanwhile, his intelligent movement ties the afore together perfectly, for his positional sense in relation to the space, his teammates and his opponents sees him place himself in great positions to be an outlet. He'll drift into strategically favourable spots to ensure his team can enjoy numerical superiorities to help with connectivity and allow moves to flow cleaner.

His smarts vitally transfer over to the defensive end, where he defends in a composed, concentrated manner to nullify opponents that venture into his designated area of operation. When required to press, he does so intensely and effectively too, which is an element of his game working under the likes of Luciano Spalletti and Massimiliano Allegri has done wonders for.

While a potential move still sees some way off, it would be a huge statement of intent by the Blues if they were to bring in Pjanic, as he'd fit extremely nicely into Sarri's plans.

Polished, technical and full of quality, Pjanic's future looks set to be a hot topic of discussion until it's officially finalised.
