Romelu Lukaku is the latest Manchester United player to interest Italian giants Juventus.

The Italian club have been actively searching for new signings as they bid to bolster their squad for a serious tilt at the Champions League and a striker is their number one target.

After dominating their domestic competition for the past few years, Juve have made no secret of their wish to achieve the ultimate prize, even breaking the bank to tempt Cristiano Ronaldo away from Real Madrid.

In recent months, Juve have been linked with their former midfielder Paul Pogba as well as Antony Martial and Matteo Darmian. Now we can add Belgian international Lukaku to the list.

Lukaku has struggled for goals this term despite being one of former boss Jose Mourinho's bulletproof favourites. With Ole Gunnar Solskjaer now in charge for the next few months at least, Lukaku may find his chances limited with the Norweigan proving he isn't afraid to make big selection decisions. On his managerial debut, Solskjaer guided United to a 5-1 win at Cardiff which lifted some of the gloom that had been hanging over United in recent weeks.

Twenty-five-year-old Lukaku has been identified as a potential replacement for Croatian striker Mario Mandzukic and reports from Italy today suggest the Turin-based team are preparing an offer. He won't come cheap despite his recent struggles in front of goal and the United hierarchy may not be keen on making transfer decisions of such magnitude before deciding on their next permanent boss.
