''Karma Works In Wonderful Ways'' - Chelsea Fans Revel In Thibaut Courtois Nightmare As Real Madrid Lose To Eibar

Real Madrid suffered a shock defeat at the hands of Eibar this afternoon and Thibaut Courtois was the man who bore the brunt of the criticism on social media.

The Belgian keeper forced his way out of Chelsea over the summer in order to move to the Bernabeu but is fair to say that things haven;t worked out so far. The former Atletico keeper has struggled to nail down a regular starting spot at the Champions League winners but he was between the sticks today as Satiago Solari endured a nightmare first day as permanent manager of the club.

Chelsea fans haven't forgotten thew way Courtois acted during the summer and as you can imagine, they were revelling in his misery on social media. The Blues have started the season in great form with new man Kepa in goal as the replacement and the gloating on social media has gathered considerable pace...

Wait wait wait... Courtois just got packed out again? 3-0? Ahhhhhh it gets better and better - (@glrtweets)

Daily reminder that Real Madrid had the chance to sign Kepa for £20m but decided to wait 6 months and sign Thibaut Courtois. Real Madrid are an L magnet - (@MabilSZN)

Courtois forcing a move to sit on the bench for the first few games, all to concede more goals in the last month, than Kepa has all season is absolutely hilarious. Karma works in wonderful ways. - (@ClinicalEden)

Call me psychopathic but there's always this joy I feel whenever Courtois has a disasterclass. It's not even that I'm obsessed I'm just glad because karma works in beautiful ways. Kepa Arrizabalaga twice the player he is at the moment. - (@CFCMod_)

It was a disastrous day for Los Blancos as they lost at lowly Eibar and there are now major doubts about their form going into the rest of the season. The club are yet to recover from losing Zinedine Zidane and Cristiano Ronaldo in the same summer and with Julen Lopetegui already falling by the wayside, the players on the pitch are now starting to come under increasing pressure.

Chelsea fans are certainly not going to let Courtois forget his behaviour!
