Leicester City Star Jamie Vardy Should Make Your Fantasy Premier League Team Party In Gameweek 33
13:34, 05 Apr 2019

Fantasy Football fans will be hoping for goals galore to make up for the reduced Gameweek 33, when only six Premier League fixtures take place. This is what we have on the calendar:

  • Southampton vs Liverpool

  • Huddersfield vs Leicester City

  • Newcastle vs Crystal Palace

  • Bournemouth vs Burnley

  • Everton vs Arsenal

  • Chelsea vs West Ham

Here are the pointers you need to know heading into this gameweek.

Worth Noting

Only Arsenal and Southampton will play in both Gameweek 33 and 34 and take on double fixtures in Gameweek 35.

If you don’t have your Wildcard or Free Hit chip still to play then you should consider acquiring players from either of these clubs to maximise your points return in April.

Selected by only 8.5% of teams, Gunners forward Alexandre Lacazette could be a brilliant differential.

The Frenchman has only blanked once since Gameweek 23 which came against reigning Premier League champions, Manchester City. Since then the striker has recorded a goal or an assist every 63 minutes.

King To Overpower

With nine of his 11 Premier League goals scored at the Vitality Stadium this season, we have to make a case for Bournemouth’s Joshua King.

The Norwegian international has scored six goals in his last five home games for Bournemouth. King's recent form has been exceptional, picking up four goals in his last four games for club and country since mid-March.

This weekend the Cherries face a struggling Burnley side who have only kept three clean sheets away from home in the Premier League this season.

Furthermore, to help finalise your decision, Eddie Howe’s men face four of the bottom six teams throughout April:

  • GW33: Burnley (H)

  • GW34: Brighton (A)

  • GW35: Fulham (H)

  • GW36: Southampton (A)

Save Money For Mane

Since the start of 2019, no Premier League midfielder has produced more goals than Sadio Mané.

The Senegalese international has scored nine and created one assist in 12 appearances for Liverpool, not to mention his brace against Bayern Munich in the Champions League Last 16.

The Reds have only lost once away from home in the Premier League this season and need the win to keep the pressure on Manchester City, who they can leapfrog with the three points.

Defensive Duties

At the end of Double Gameweek 32, Chelsea defender César Azpilicueta amassed 16 points having produced one goal, a clean sheet and three bonus points.

Chelsea now host a struggling West Ham side in the London Derby this weekend. The Hammers have failed to score in five of their last six away league games which highlights the potential of another clean sheet for the Blues.

To help further a case for Azpilicueta, the Spanish international has produced one goal and three assists since Gameweek 25, adding seven bonus points to his name in the process.

Vardy Party

Since Brendan Rodgers’ arrival at Leicester City in Gameweek 28, Jamie Vardy has produced a remarkable record of a goal involvement every 74 minutes. Prior to Rodgers’ Premier League return, the striker had only registered a goal or an assist every 160 minutes.

The Foxes travel to The John Smith's Stadium to face rock bottom Huddersfield this weekend. Since relegation was confirmed last weekend, morale is low for The Terriers. Perfect for Vardy to capitalise.

Furthermore, Vardy is only selected by a mere 11.6% of teams which regards the Englishman as a slight differential.
