Leicester City v Stoke City Team News: Wes Morgan Returns For Foxes, But Ryan Shawcross Is Out
11:39, 24 Feb 2018

Claude Puel is able to name Wes Morgan in his starting line-up for the first time since the central defender picked up an injury on New Year's Day, and he will captain a Leicester City side that are looking to leapfrog Burnley into seventh place in the Premier League, but while the Foxes welcome back their defensive rock, their opponents Stoke City will not have Ryan Shawcross amongst their matchday squad, as he is one of three changes from their last match having picked up an ankle injury.

Paul Lambert's Potters know that a win in Saturday's lunchtime kick-off will see them propel out of the relegation zone, but not only Shawcross will watch from the sidelines, but Erik Pieters and Darren Fletcher will also not line-up in the starting XI, with the former of that pair taking his place on the bench.  Replacing that experienced trio will Bruno Martins Indi, Geoff Cameron and Kostas Stafylidis.

Leicester City have only picked up one point from their last three Premier League matches, so Puel will be eager for his Foxes to shine at the King Power Stadium in the 12:30pm kick-off, and he will be looking for the deadly duo of Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez to shine, and that pair are unsurprisingly amongst the team, while with Shinji Okazaki still on the sidelines it gives the chance for Demarai Gray to show his quality from the start, and he will be another integral cog to the Foxes attacking play.

Both sides will be eager to pick up a positive result for very different reasons, but Leicester are sure to line-up as hot favourites, as Lambert aims to try and mastermind Stoke's path away from the relegation zone.
