Jurgen Klopp Press Conference

Jurgen Klopp spoke to the press ahead of Inter Milan's Anfield visit. Here are some key quotes...

On team news: "Thiago, Firmino and Matip all trained yesterday, not sure yet. Thiago was only a week out, should probably be fine. Bobby was longer out and it was his first session so he might need something else."

On his 2-0 advantage: "2-0 is the lead that has been turned over most often in football."

On five subs: "We played Sunday, Wednesday, Saturday and Tuesday. That's a horrible schedule."

"It's essential that we go again for the five subs. I don't understand why it takes so long for the Premier League to understand it. The Premier League has to save their top class players as well."

Responding to Pep Guardiola calling Liverpool his toughest opponent: "I could give it back and say City are the toughest opponent I've ever had but it wasn't much easier when I faced Pep's Bayern. We push each other on insane levels."

Barca continue to thrive under Xavi

Barcelona are on an unbeaten eight game streak and there is a real feel-good factor around the club again. Xavi has got them back to their best and we spoke to Axel from Barca Centre who gave his thoughts on the resurgence of the Catalan giants.

'I think the form and atmosphere is impeccable at the moment. The team is growing and very motivated for the remainder of the season. This team isn't about individuals, it's about the collective effort. We're now chaining wins which will give the team peace of mind and confidence to face the next challenge: Galatasaray. Auba and Adama have been very good since arriving. The former has scored important goals and showed immediate performances, while the latter has been providing assists and has proven to be very useful when pressing, a key part of Xavi's game. If he continues like this, he'll definitely be bought from Wolves at the end of the season.'
