Speaking to Sky Sports after Liverpool's win over Norwich, manager Jurgen Klopp said:
"We had to find our way in the game and scored three really nice goals because we forced them. It's a good start. The boys are fit but you have to get used to the feeling again, that it's really exhausting but you can [still] go.
"You have to get over that point in the game, and we did, and hopefully next week we'll be fresher for longer."
Virgil van Dijk made his first appearance in 301 days against Norwich this evening. Speaking to Sky Sports after the 3-0 win, he said:
"To be back out there helping the boys... I just hope to continue that and see what it brings. I need games but the manager knows it, I know it. It's a good start and now we have time to recover for next week."

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer told BT Sport:
"For me, this is the way I want to see my team play, not just because it's Leeds but I want to see them running, going forward, taking risks. We look fit to be fair, and some of these players haven't played more than 45 minutes.
"I've had a great relationship with Paul [Pogba] ever since he was a kid. Today was just about 'go out there and enjoy yourself' because he had 45 minutes against Everton which wasn't his best.
"We gave him the freedom of roaming wherever you want to go and get on the ball."

After a long wait, Manchester United officially unveil the signing of defender Raphael Varane from Real Madrid on the pitch minutes before kick-off. The 28-year-old has signed a contract that will keep him at Old Trafford until June 2025.
Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa told BT Sport:
“Kalvin Phillips has done half the work of his team-mates, and with Junior Firpo we had to diversify his preparation, which was also interrupted by a few days. This is why there has been a setback with him.”
Speaking to BT Sport, Man United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said:
“It is too soon for Jadon. He had a holiday after the Euros, he’s been ill and he’s been training with us for four days, which isn’t enough to be playing 90 minutes against Leeds, because they will give us a physical challenge. But he’s ready to come on and make a difference.”
Manchester United and Leeds United have kept their big summers signings, Jadon Sancho and Junior Firpo, on the bench for their Premier League opener at Old Trafford
