Barcelona have received a €65million bid for their Brazilian star Malcom from Chinese side Guangzhou Evergrande - a move which is sure to alert Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal and Liverpool who were linked with the player before he moved to the Camp Nou.

The former Bordeaux star – who cost €40million –has barely featured for Barca this season though reports from Spain this morning suggest the club is in no rush to offload him.

AS says that the player is happy in Catalonia but the prospect of a €25million return on their investment may prove hard to turn down.

Malcom has played fewer than 300 minutes in a red and blue shirt and his first-team opportunities look limited for the foreseeable future as Barcelona continue to impress in domestic and European competition. Malcom is tempted by the prospect of more first-team football even if it is in China. He wouldn't be the first Barca player to make such a move - Paulinho left the Cap Nou in a surprise €50million move.

Arriving in France in 2016 from the Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A winning side, Corinthians, Malcom scored 12 goals in 74 appearances for the club. He was regarded as something of a a rough diamond at Bordeaux but his first season at the club was a good one.

He became something of a fans' favourite as Bordeaux finished in a respectable sixth spot, making the Europa League rounding off a good campaign. Malcom ended up as an "inverted winger" and scored five goals as well as providing two assists.
