No player has scored more Premier League goals than Mo Salah this season as Liverpool’s hat-trick hero propelled his tally to 10 goals for the 2018/19 campaign in a 4-0 win over Bournemouth, as the Reds returned to the summit of the division.
In his post-match interview Salah, standing alongside teammate James Milner, was handed the Man of the Match award following his scintillating individual display at the Vitality Stadium.
However, Salah being Salah refused to accept the accolade, instead handing the award to Milner who had made his landmark 500th Premier League appearance, becoming the 13th player to reach this tally of games, and the second youngest to achieve the feat - 32 years 338 days old - behind only Gareth Barry.
“He’s (Milner) got 500 games so he deserves it,” said Salah.
“I have to congratulate him for his amazing career, he deserves it today. I hope we are going to win something this season to earn it, but I will not take it.”
Liverpool fans were quick to applaud the gentlemanly act from their star man...

Meanwhile, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp was full of praise for Salah.
“He was absolutely brilliant, said Klopp.
“He was on fire. He was good at defending, he was good at attacking. That’s what you wish all the time. It’s really nice for him to score three goals, and get another match ball.”
