Liverpool Suffer Double Injury Blow Ahead Of Crucial Trip To Arsenal

Liverpool have suffered a major injury blow ahead of their crucial trip to the Emirates Stadium to play Arsenal with Jordan Henderson and Naby Keita ruled out of the game.

The two midfielders have both been missing in recent weeks and Jurgen Klopp confirmed in his pre-game press conference that the star duo will have to wait a bit longer for their comebacks.

Both are expected to be back in training next week but it does leave the Liverpool squad thin on the grounds in terms of midfield options ahead of a big game against the Gunners.

It wasn't all doom and gloom for Klopp though with Mo Salah declared 100% fit for the game despite a wrist injury which will require the Egyptian to wear a splint during the match.

Liverpool are the warm favourites for the game against arsenal but Klopp has been impressed with Unai Emery since he arrived in England and is expecting a tough game this weekend.

It's always a big challenge for us. Unai Emery had a big task after what felt like 50 years of Arsene Wenger. He has done really well after a tough start.

Arsenal are coming off of a 2-2 draw against Crystal Palace but their confidence remains high having not tasted defeat since the first two matches of the season which makes this such a fascinating game.

Jurgen Klopp and his men will be a tough nut to crack though with the German clearly delighted with his team's unbeaten start to the campaign which had them joint top going into the live match on Sky Sports this weekend.

My assessment is so far, so good. A quarter of the season is nothing. We stuck to our plan. As long as the majority of the boys are fit we have a really good football team."
