Bournemouth vs Newcastle

Bournemouth have only suffered one defeat in their last eight league games, which was an unexpected 4-1 thrashing at Huddersfield in their last outing. But, back on home soil Eddie Howe’s men will be expected to get back to winning ways at home to Newcastle, as the Cherries bid to register their fourth consecutive win on their own patch. Those three wins have all been 2-1 to the hosts, meaning it makes sense to continue this trend...

PICK: Bournemouth 2-1 Newcastle

Brighton vs Swansea

Swansea have been rejuvenated since the surprise appointment of Carlos Carvalhal, with the Swans currently enjoying their longest unbeaten run since 2009 (10 games). The Welsh side now travel to relegation rivals Brighton who are on a decent unbeaten run themselves, having won three and drawn two of their last five matches, while they’ve been victorious in three of their past four homes games. Considering the form of both teams we’re backing them both to prolong their respective undefeated streaks.

PICK: Brighton 1-1 Swansea

Burnley vs Southampton

Burnley are the only Premier League team yet to taste victory in 2018, with their 10 game winless run dating back to early December. Saturday’s opponents Southampton have endured a disappointing league campaign, however their form on the whole is good, suffering only the one defeat in eight league games in all competitions. The Saints are yet to lose on the road this year, winning three of the last four, but with neither side particularly prolific in attack we are opting for a goalless stalemate at Turf Moor.

PICK: Burnley 0-0 Southampton

Liverpool vs West Ham

Back in November Liverpool hammered West Ham 4-1 at the London Stadium, which proved to be the final game for then Hammers boss Slaven Bilic. The Reds, who have lost only one of their their last 18 league games, are banging in the goals for fun at the moment, making it difficult to envision anything over than a comprehensive home win at Anfield, especially given the Irons’ raft of injuries.

PICK: Liverpool 3-0 West Ham

West Brom vs Huddersfield

Where to start with West Brom? Simply put they are having an absolute stinker, on-and-off-the-pitch. But for the sake of this prediction we’ll focus just on their performances on the field, which have been poor. Since he took over Alan Pardew has recorded only the one league win, which is the club’s only victory since August. Meanwhile, the Terriers have bagged two 4-1 wins in three games and will fancy their chances of coming away with at least a point on Saturday.

PICK: West Brom 1-1 Huddersfield

Reading vs Derby

This time last season Reading were fighting it out for promotion, however fast-forward to the current campaign and they are battling to stay in the Championship. The Royals have won only once in 12 second-tier games, and few will fancy their chances against promotion chasing Derby, who have an automatic spot in their sights.

PICK: Reading 1-2 Derby
