Liverpool v Watford Team News: Klopp Recalls Henderson To The Starting Line-Up
16:32, 17 Mar 2018

Jurgen Klopp has opted to recall Jordan Henderson to the Liverpool starting line-up for this evening's Premier League clash with Watford.

Henderson was left out of last Saturday's 2-1 defeat to Manchester United but he takes his place in the heart of the midfield, although the hosts are without long-term injury absentee Nathaniel Clyne, while Ben Woodburn is also out.

Liverpool have an ideal opportunity to steal a march in the race for a top-four finish as the rest of their nearest rivals are either in FA Cup action or have a weekend off. The Reds start the day in fourth place, four points clear of Chelsea, and they can leapfrog Tottenham with a win over Watford.

The Hornets are sitting in the relative comfort of mid-table despite losing seven of their last eight away league games and their lengthy injury list ensures that they are without Tom Cleverley, Gerard Deulofeu, Nathaniel Chalobah, Younes Kaboul and Isaac Success for this trip to Anfield.

Craig Cathcart is on the bench for the first time since picking up an injury in August.

Watford have won just one of their past ten meetings with Liverpool, drawing one and losing eight, and they haven't won at Anfield since a 1-0 success on 14 August 1999.
