The team news for the Last 16 tie between Uruguay and Portugal has just been announced. The teams are competing for a place in the World Cup Quarter-Finals

The match kicks off at 19:00 BST at the Fisht Olympic Stadium.

Atletico Madrid’s José Giménez rejoins his club teammate and national captain Diego Godin in the heart of the Uruguay defence. Uruguay remain the only team not to have conceded this World Cup. Giménez scored the first goal of Uruguay’s campaign for their third trophy against Egypt.

Gelson Martins and Raphael Guerreiro have recovered from their respective injuries. The latter takes his place at left-back. Cedric Soares is replaced by Ricardo Pereira at right-back

William Carvalho was a doubt after missing training this week but has managed to make it back into the side. The former Sporting CP man, currently without a club amidst the furore surrounding the Lisbon side, has recovered and goes into the centre of midfield alongside Adrien Silva.

Ricardo Quaresma, scorer of a sumptuous strike against Iran, doesn't retain his place on the right-hand side of midfield. Instead Manchester City's Bernardo Silva

Though Cristiano Ronaldo would probably forfeit his intention to snatch the Golden Boot for World Cup progression for his national side, the Real Madrid star will certainly will want to add to his tally today. Once again, CR7 captains the side.

Goncalo Guedes partners him up front again regaining his starting berth ahead of Andre Silva.

Uruguay XI: Fernando Muslera - Diego Laxalt - José Giménez - Diego Godin  - Martín Cáceres - Nahitan Nández - Lucas Torreira - Matías Vecino - Rodrigo Bentancur - Luis Suarez - Edison Cavani

Portugal XI: Rui Patrício - Raphael Guerreiro - Jose Fonte - Pepe - Ricardo Pereira - Adrien Silva - William Carvalho - João Mário - Bernardo Silva - Goncalo Guedes - Cristiano Ronaldo

This is the first meeting between the two sides since 1972 and the only time they have ever faced each other in a World Cup game.
