Manchester United Ace Romelu Lukaku Shows That He Is A Real ‘D’Evil’

Whilst his Belgium compatriots were suffering the humiliating loss to Switzerland in the UEFA Nations League this week, Romelu Lukaku was busy in the studio adding another string to his bow.

The Manchester United forward spits out Jay-Z song ‘D’Evils’ with gusto as he looks to put forward an audition for a future career. Though the performance is slightly diluted by the imposing striker reading the lyrics from his phone, Lukaku shows respectable game in the booth. At still just 25-years-old we may see Lukaku on a different stage to the footballing one in the future, although judging by the way he ends this recital, he's still got a bit of practicing to do.

In the footage, Lukaku produces the first verse from Hove’s mid-90s tune, from the album Reasonable Doubt.

‘Ain't asking for forgiveness for my sins’, though Lukaku may need to ask forgiveness from the Old Trafford contingent who haven’t seen their £75 million signing score at The Theatre of Dreams since mid-May and is currently on an almost 15-hour drought in front of goal.

The big Belgian is far from the first football star to pick up the mic.

Former Fulham and Spurs star Clint Dempsey has his infamous alter-ego ‘Deuce’, producing the certified banger ‘Don’t Tread’ which gifted the world the immortal lines such as Dempsey informing us that he’s got ‘More game than a game cock’.

A former Red Devil, Andy Cole got to #68 in the UK charts in 1999 with a song called ‘Outstanding’, which was anything but.

The treble-winning Manchester United side in the same year as Cole’s fared a great deal better, releasing their own Oasis-inspired record ‘Lift It High’ which got to #11 after the season that saw them make history by winning the Premier League, FA Cup, and Champions League.

That 'chune' as well as Lukaku's own effort is available to watch below.
