Spanish star Isco has been linked with a move to the Premier League in January as he continues to struggle to nail down a starting berth in Real Madrid's midfield. Manchester United and Chelsea have reportedly shown significant interest in the 26-year-old, who has only started one match under new boss Santiago Solari, but the Premier League heavyweights may have to be patient in their quest for signing the attacking sensation.
Speaking to Spanish outlet, Deportes Cuatro, Isco shed light on his recent slump at the Bernabeu, but has claimed that he has no interest in leaving the reigning Champions League champions and will fight for his place back in the team. Isco said: "I am not remotely thinking about leaving Real Madrid in the January transfer window, as I am very happy here. My objective is to continue winning many more titles with Real Madrid."
Isco has had to suffer significant negativity from a vociferous Real crowd and was booed off during Real's shock 3-0 defeat against CSKA Moscow in the Champions League. However, fresh from winning the Club World Cup with the Spanish giants, Isco has announced that he is happy in the Spanish capital and will not be looking for a move to the Premier League when the transfer window opens in January.
Many had expected a monster duel between both Chelsea and United as they both looked to secure the creative Isco, and it was rumoured that a fee of around £70m would be needed to bag his services, but with the Spaniard announcing that he is happy at Real means both Maurizio Sarri and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will need to look elsewhere to bolster their squads next month.
