The newly-released fly-only-the-wall documentary film which charts Manchester City’s remarkable title-winning season has given fans a fascinating insight into the inner workings of the sporting machine that swept all before them on the domestic front last term.
One of only a few lowlights in the season was their loss to cross-town rivals Manchester United in at the Etihad in April.
The Citizens could have won the league there and then and were two goals to the good, coasting up till half-time and within touching distance of the title. But a stunning second-half intervention from Paul Pogba set the visitors on their way to a 3-2 win.
On the series, called All or Nothing and available to watch on Amazon Prime, City’s Fabian Delph reacts furiously to the loss in the dressing room after the game. "F****** s*** man, f**** sake. F****** useless. F*** me. F****** hell,” he’s head to say.
After some discussion from his teammates, Yaya Toure wades in with his view - that the match was lost because their players tired toward the second half of the game.
"'I think the point of what I'm saying right now is that it's true because in the first half we were there, but in the second half they took us physically. Because, I think we have to understand sometimes, because we're fatigued and that's the time we need to regroup," said the club legend.
Delph, for his part, didn’t react to well to that. “'F****** tired? It's simple, it's straightforward. We stopped f****** running in the second-half,” he said.
Their manager Pep Guardiola then steps in to quell the rising tensions in the home dressing room.
"Guys. Chill out. Shut up please. No because you, because you, because you. If you disagree, complain to me for my decisions. When you lose in football, you think, we didn't run. That is b*******, guys. That is not the point," he says.
