A host of top Premier League clubs are monitoring the development of Bristol City and England U21 full-back Lloyd Kelly, who has been blossoming in the defence of the Robins this season.
According to The Mirror, Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur have all sent scouts to Ashton Gate this season to keep an eye on Kelly, who has cemented his place as the West Country club's premier left back.
Kelly, a product of the Robins youth system, has been given the chance to shine in Lee Johnson's side after Joe Bryan moved to Fulham in the summer, but while Kelly is regarded as a potential star centre back of the future it's his been his displays at left-back for the Championship club that has caught the eye of some of the elite clubs in British football.
20-year-old Kelly has already secured a regular spot in England's U21 setup, but it's his breakthrough at Bristol City that has seen him launch into the notebooks of the aforementioned quartet, and with the January transfer window likely to force all four clubs into strengthening their squads for the second half of the season then Kelly could be a potential low budget recruit as the clubs also have one eye on the future.
An ability to get forward down the flanks, Kelly's ability in an attacking sense are also matched by his defensive consistencies and Johnson has been quick to praise the youngster's progression this season in a club mid-table in the Championship, and while the boss of the BS3 club will not want to lose another classy full-back, if the big clubs come knocking next month then he certainly won't stand in Kelly's way.
