Italian champions Juventus are willing to offload their Argentine attacker Paulo Dybala in a bid to bring the Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba back to the club he left two seasons ago, according to reports from the Mirror.
Dybala has fallen out of favour at the club since the £90m arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo and, according to the same reports, is “already considering his options” and could leave Turin as early as the January transfer window. He has, however, been chosen to start by Max Allegri for their Serie A tie with Sassuolo this afternoon.
One mooted destination is Manchester, with the outlet claiming that the 24-year-old may get caught up in a Paul Pogba-sized transfer saga.
Juventus are reported to be keen to bring the French World Cup winner back to Italian football, but would likely have to pay more than the £89m they sold him to United. Dybala, it’s now claimed, could be used as a makeweight in a cash+player deal.
The seven-time Serie A title winners have a publically acknowledged desperation to win the Champions League after losing two finals in the last four seasons, and that is partially why they brought the European specialist Ronaldo to the club in the summer.
The now, if this report is to be believed, want to bring in even more proven talent and push on with their quest for continental domination.
There might be another option open to the Juventus, though, as they look for offload the disaffected Dybala; as the Mirror claim that former Palermo man is also wanted by Maurizio Sarri as his free-flowing project at Chelsea takes shape.
