It’s set to be a frenzied and frenetic New Year at Old Trafford as struggling Manchester United prepare to splash the cash in the January transfer window.
A plethora of players are being linked with a move to the red-half of Manchester, while many of the club’s underperforming names are seeking switches away from Jose Mourinho's dressing room.
One of whom is Alexis Sanchez who has scored a meagre four goals since joining the club from Arsenal at the start of 2018. The injured forward is reportedly desperate to leave the club, and could well be offered a way out by French giants PSG.
Should Sanchez depart - a scenario that is looking more and more likely - Man Utd will attempt to snap-up the in-demand Roma winger Cengiz Under, according to Corriere dello Sport, who report that the Serie A side have slapped a £44million price tag on the in-form 21-year-old.
Under, who is also a target for Man City, Arsenal and Barcelona, signed for Roma in the summer of 2017 as the Italian side attempted to fill the void left by a certain Mo Salah.
In his debut campaign the Turkish international played a key role in Roma's impressive run through to the Champions League semi-finals, and so far this term has three goals and four assists in 10 matches in all competitions.
Under, a former Super Lig player with Basaksehir before his move to Italy, could be tempted to dart over to the Premier League and revive Man Utd in the second-half of the season, and his pace, skill and versatility would no doubt be a huge asset in United’s toothless attack.
