Brazilian midfielder Andreas Pereira is considering leaving Manchester United according to Yahoo.
The 22-year-old has barely played for the club this season and looks to be on the fringes of Jose Mourinho's squad.
But the player, who is out of contract next summer, is ready to leave Old Trafford so he can improve his chances of a World Cup call-up in four years' time. He recently was named as a sub for Brazil's 5-0 win over El Salvador.
United are understood to want to keep hold of Pereira but he seems intent on moving on to secure more first-team football. Last season, Pereira went on loan to Valencia and played one goal in 29 appearances. It was enough for the Spanish side to offer him a permanent deal but they balked at the £10million fee.
There are conflicting reports about Pereira's relationship with Mourinho. After the first Premier League game of the season - a 2-1 he was singled out for criticism by the United boss but he has been a vocal supporter of the player more recently.
The player has reportedly told friends that he dreams of playing in the 2022 World Cup. In United's last 10 games in all competitions, Pereira has only been named in the matchday squad three times.
Born in Belgium, Pereira is one of only five players to have been picked by Brazil despite not being born in the country. He signed for PSV aged nine before moving to Manchester United six years later. He made his senior United debut in 2014 against MK Dons in the League Cup.
