Paul Pogba has been approached about a possible move to Paris Saint-Germain by Brazilian star Neymar according to reports today.
The French World Cup winner's relationship with Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho looks increasingly strained and over the summer he was linked with moves to both Barcelona and Juventus.
Now PSG has emerged as a possible destination for the midfielder according to Goal. They say that Neymar has "sounded out" Pogba about such a move which would certainly fit the profile of the ambitious Paris club which has designs on being one of the world's football powerhouses.
Pogba started the season as Manchester United captain but a fortnight ago, Mourinho told the player he would never wear the skipper's armband again. Days later, a clip of the two sharing a frosty exchange on the training ground send shockwaves across the Premier League.
Today's report on Goal says that Neymar was in contact with Pogba at the end of September to gauge whether the Frenchman would be interested in a move to Paris. The pair have never played in the same side but it's understood they are good friends.
PSG's spending is currently under investigation from UEFA after they brought in Neymar and Kylian Mbappe last summer. Both players were linked with moves to Real Madrid during the summer but they remained in Paris.
Any move by Pogba is likely to depend on whether Mourinho stays at Old Trafford but United will command a mega fee for the player they brought back to Manchester from Juventus. He is contracted at Old Trafford until 2021.
