Manchester United's local prodigy Marcus Rashford has caught the attention of Juventus, who are ready to pile in with a £65m transfer for the 20-year-old England international.
Since blossoming in the youth ranks, Rashford has struggled to nail down a regular first-team spot in Jose Mourinho's side and is now being lined up by the Serie A side as a potential striking partner for Cristiano Ronaldo, according to The Sun.
Rashford showed his qualities when scoring a superb goal for England in their 3-2 Nations League win over Spain earlier this week and that fine strike assured the Turin-based club that he is the sort of player they want to sign in the future.
However, it could prove a real test for Juve to get Rashford as he has a current contract at United running until 2020, with the option of a further season, while the Red Devils will not like the thought of a homegrown player they have nurtured over several years departing Old Trafford and heading to Serie A.
While Mourinho could be attracted to the idea of offloading Rashford in the near future, you have to feel that the board and United fans will want to keep the progressive youngster amongst their setup, and Juventus could well be forced to offer a significantly higher bid than the current £65m they are reportedly set to offer.
Rashford has scored three goals for United this season and has been one of the shining lights in a struggling side over the last couple of years, but if he continues to struggle to get consistent starts at United then he may relish the chance to go to Italy and join up with one of the biggest European clubs in world football.
