Sky Sports reporter Vinny O'Connor has got a bit more than he bargained for while reporting live from pitchside at Manchester United training at the club’s Carrington training base earlier today.
The Red Devils were preparing for their trip to Turin, where they play Juventus tomorrow night in a crucial Champions League encounter.
Taking a bit of a break from proceedings, the England international Marcus Rashford managed to send a tellingly accurate ball all the way across the rainswept training pitch and clock O’Connor straight in the back.
He, of course, dealt with it like a consummate pro as the culprit slinked off giggling with his teammates, including Ashley Young.
The 21-year-old Rashford, who scored the winner in a tense game against Bournemouth on Saturday, might be relied upon to show his striking accuracy on the peninsula tomorrow, with his striking colleague Romelu Lukaku missing training through injury today and is not certain to be available.
Jose Mourinho may opt to throw the youngster up top instead, with the support of the Frenchman Anthony Martial, in a rich goalscoring form of late, off the left-hand side.
The experienced defence of the Italian champions managed to marshal a United attack fronted by the Belgian Lukaku fairly ably during their 1-0 win at Old Trafford last month, and so something new may we required to trouble them in the reverse fixture.
Manchester United fans will be hoping that a Rashford as free and easy as he’s seen here can come close to doing that. Have a look at his pinpoint crossfield effort below!
