Maurizio Sarri's Response When Asked How Do You Beat Manchester City Was Priceless

Maurizio Sarri had the perfect reply when asked how do you beat Manchester City.

"I don’t know," said the Chelsea boss. "Against Guardiola I lost every match, so you’ll have to ask somebody else!"

Despite losing their last two games and being 10 points adrift of Manchester City, Sarri insists Chelsea have improved since last season and they will approach the game with a positive attitude.

"We started with 30 points of difference. We have to work to reduce the gap. I think we are improving but they are improving also, so it’s very difficult to cover the gap. I don’t know the difference at the moment.

"We started the season very well but now we have to face some difficulties. I think it’s normal to have some difficulties in a new way of playing. We have to try to solve problems day by day and to improve."

Chelsea have no fresh injury concerns with Sarri saying: "I think every player will be able to play.

"The match is really very important. It is a very difficult match against maybe the best team in Europe. It’s impossible to beat them in a long period but in a match, everything can happen."

Manchester City travel to Stamford Bridge without Sergio Aguero, Guardiola told reporters this afternoon. The striker missed the midweek game at Watford having picked up an injury in training recently.

Midfielder Kevin De Bruyne is still missing for City despite reports this week suggesting he could be back this weekend.
