Paul Pogba may look like one of the world's best players when he's wearing the blue of France but his performances in the red of Manchester United continue to frustrate.
His relationship with boss Jose Mourinho has been stretched to breaking point this season. Having started the season as club captain, he was later told that he'd never wear the armband again.
Regularly a figure who splits opinions amongst fans, Pogba has been given some advice by from Manchester United and Liverpool striker Michael Owen: Watch old clips of Paul Scholes.
How United would love a player like Scholes right now - even if his consistently negative comments about the goings-on at Old Trafford can be a bit of a grind.
Pogba cut a depressed figure as United were beaten 2-1 against Valencia on Wednesday night and his mood seemed to sum up the entire feel of the team at the moment.
But Owen thinks Pogba could benefit from studying the performances of Scholes. "I feel sorry for him," said Owen on BT Sport. "As a player, it is frustrating when you watch him because he still looks like a 16 or 17-year-old learning the game," said Owen on BT Sport prior to United's defeat.
"I think he could do a lot worse than just going to watch a load of videos of Paul Scholes – see when to play one touch, see when to take loads of touches, when to beat players."
