Millie Bright has signed a new three-year contract with Chelsea that will see the defender’s association with the club reach 10 years.
After her Euro 2022 triumph with England, Bright has committed her future with the reigning Women’s Super League champions, continuing her position as the club’s longest-serving player. She has been with the Blues since 2015 after joining from Doncaster Belles.

The 28-year-old says she is delighted to sign a new contract with the Blues. She told the club website: “Chelsea, the fans, the club, the people. Thank you for all your support so far.
“You're my home and I can't wait to continue fighting for more trophies. Cheers to the future!"
The club’s general manager, Paul Greene, was thrilled that Bright was happy to extend her stay at Chelsea.
“We are absolutely delighted that Millie has signed a new contract,” he said. “Millie remains our longest-serving player and her time with us has been key to our success. The way that she leads on and off the pitch is second to none and we are proud of how far she has come and all her achievements, including her most recent win at the Euros, which was a very proud moment for the club.”
In her seven years with Chelsea she has won all of the club’s 13 major trophies, with six WSL titles, four FA Cups, two Continental Cups and one Community Shield. And during her Euro 2022 success with England this summer she was made vice-captain by manager Sarina Wiegman and started all six of the Lionesses' historic matches. Bright has so far earned 58 senior England caps.
Chelsea kick-start their WSL title defence at home to West Ham United on Sunday 11 September at 12:30pm.
