''Morata Out, Wilson In'' - Electric Form Of Bournemouth Star Has Chelsea Fans Dreaming Of A January Move

Bournemouth's Callum Wilson has been on FIRE in the Premier League this season and the forward again illustrated his striking prowess on Tuesday night.

Wilson wasted little time in getting stuck into the Cherries' opponents, Huddersfield Town, at the Vitality Stadium as he put the home side ahead after just five minutes, before turning provider to set up Ryan Fraser for Bournemouth's second goal of the night.

Wilson, 26, is arguably in the form of his career as he has finally arrived as a genuine goalscorer at the top-level of English football.

The former Coventry forward has endured his fair share of problems with injury over the years, rupturing the anterior cruciate ligament in each knee during a testing seven-month period in the 2015/16 season.

It is testament to the strength of Wilson's character that he has fought back to become a Premier League regular and he is on course to enjoy his best ever campaign in the top-flight.

He marked his very first international start with a goal in England's 3-0 win over USA last month and his electric form has reportedly attracted interest from several top clubs.

Chelsea are leading the race for his signature if the bookmakers' odds are to be believed as Wilson is 5/2 to join the London side during the January transfer window, while he is 20/1 to move to Manchester United and 25/1 to sign for Everton.

It would take a serious bid for Bournemouth to even consider letting go of their star forward and would he want to leave?

Wilson clearly enjoys his football on the South Coast and he is a central part of what Eddie Howe has been building. It would be a big decision for him to leave and only a move to one of the top-six clubs in the country would make sense at this stage of his career.

Chelsea are the obvious destination as they are crying out for a forward who can regularly put the ball in the back of the net. Admittedly, Alvaro Morata has scored five league goals this term but is maligned for his propensity to miss guilt-edged changes, while Olivier Giroud has struggled to find his feet at Stamford Bridge.

Wilson has a habit of missing plenty of chances too, although his current form ensures Chelsea fans would be delighted to have the England striker at their club...
