The build-up to Christmas doesn't officially start until the John Lewis advert has been aired and we've seen a Coca Cola lorry travelling dangerously on snowy ground. From this day forth however, Christmas is cancelled and we have Celtic to thank for that.
The giants of the Scottish Premiership have produced their own advert to celebrate the countdown to the big day.
Their video, entitled 'It's Christmas... the Celtic Way!', has to be seen to be truly appreciated/derided/mocked and you can see it in all of its dubious glory further down this page.
Released on the official Celtic Twitter feed, the two-minute long video (two minutes and 18 seconds to be precise) involves Brendan Rodgers, the Celtic players and various fans enjoying a 'typical' Christmas celebration, before the piece de resistance of the advert.
Notorious Celtic hard man, Scott Brown - dressed as an elf (obviously) - knocks at the door, complaining about the noise, before the family welcome him in with open arms and give him a present. His delight/discomfort/feelings of wanting the ground to swallow him whole, are there for all to see.
I guess this is what Christmas is all about. Cheese, pure cheese, presents and the opportunity to mock footballers mercilessly. We can't help but feel the Bhoys missed a tricky by not getting Tiny Tim in to announce, "God bless us everyone".
However, the video does sign off with the message, 'Giving you that Celtic sparkle every day'. Please excuse me while I go and poke my eyes out. For those who haven't seen it yet, you can watch the video below:
