Neymar Aims Dig At Lionel Messi And Hints At Premier League Move
11:06, 06 Dec 2018

One of the top players in world football, PSG star Neymar has hinted at a Premier League in future and believes every great player has to play in England’s top flight. This can be seen as a slight dig at Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi who of course has spent his whole career in Spain with Barcelona in La Liga.

Neymar on a YouTube channel was sent in a question from Manchester City left-back Benjamin Mendy about the Premier League and responded in emphatic fashion:

"It's a big competition. One of the greatest in the world.

"We don't know how tomorrow will be, but I believe that every great player, at least one day, has to play in the Premier League.

"If you're playing there, then I hope you can keep enjoying the Premier League because you deserve only the best. Hugs and thanks!"

Neymar, of course, joined PSG for a world record £199m in 2017 and has been tipped to move to Spanish giants Real Madrid in the near future, with Los Blancos keen to sign a big name to replace the departed Cristiano Ronaldo.

A Premier League club would have to spend a huge amount of money to bring Neymar to England and be in with a chance of winning the Champions League which makes Man City his most likely destination.

Looking forward, this would be a great move for the Premier League although it is likely to happen a few years down the line after his Real Madrid move materialises.
