We asked those in the know for their predictions for Super Bowl LVI

You ought to have read our NFL Super Bowl previews on the Cincinnati Bengals and the Los Angeles Rams by now so we thought we’d do something a little different ahead of this Sunday’s  Super Bowl LVI at SoFi Stadium, Los Angeles. We sent out a few questions to Bengals fans, Rams fans and a neutral as well to gauge an idea of which way they think this game will go and here’s what they had to say.

LA Rams Fan Predictions

@DowntownRams:

Score Prediction: 30-23 - “I’m taking Rams by 7”

Super Bowl Winner: LA Rams - “I see both teams struggling to move the ball early with they typical Super Bowl jitters. However, the Rams will rely on Akers in the run game to get the offense going. By the time the second half hits, Stafford and co. get in a rhythm. Bengals make a late surge, but it isn't enough and they come up short.”
Super Bowl MVP: Cooper Kupp - “He's been playing at a MVP level all season and has some of the biggest plays in the postseason. I don't see that stopping in the Super Bowl.”

@CameronDaSilva:

Score Prediction: 27-24 - “I think it'll be a close game, similar to the way both conference title games were, but I like the Rams to win this one”

Super Bowl Winner: LA Rams - “I don't think either team will dominate the other. I can see the Rams coming out strong by scoring first and setting the tone, and after they grab a lead, they'll be able to unleash their pass rushers – who should have no trouble pressuring Joe Burrow. The Bengals will keep it close late, but the Rams defense will be too much.”

Super Bowl MVP: Cooper Kupp - “Instead of taking the obvious choice of Matthew Stafford, I'll take Cooper Kupp. This is a game where I could see Stafford throwing a pick or two to make things interesting, but Kupp will be the main source of offense for the Rams. He should top 100 yards and score at least one touchdown.”

@LARams_UK:

Score Prediction: 24-21 - “I predicted 20-17 Rams with Matt Gay kicking for the win the other week and I’m kicking myself over it, but I think this will be another close one and after the game when I said I had predicted that scoreline, I got asked and said Rams…. Gay kicking for the win again.”

Super Bowl Winner: LA Rams - “Complacency is always a thing in this game be it week 1 of the regular season or the big one itself.  The Bengals have surprised many themselves by getting here BUT they are a very good team with several threats that we will have to deal with.  I don’t expect any easy game against them, I expect a hard-fought contest which hopefully will be good to watch if you are a neutral."

Super Bowl MVP: Aaron Donald - “Aaron Donald for MVP as he will be sacking Joe Burrow multiple times”

Cincinnati Bengals Fan Predictions

@BengalsCaptain

Score Prediction: “The Bengals will win by 4”

Super Bowl Winner: Cincinnati Bengals -  “I see the Rams taking a small lead into halftime, and the Bengals roaring back after adjustments in the second half.”

Super Bowl MVP: Ja’Marr Chase - “I see some close races for MVP, with Ja'Marr Chase winning it due to late heroics.”

@BengalsJim_BTR:

Score Prediction: “Bengals Win…. I don’t do scores”

Super Bowl Winner: Cincinnati Bengals - “I do see the Bengals' defense being the story here. That defensive front and secondary have been outstanding and expect them to do really well”

Super Bowl MVP: Joe Mixon - “I’ll go with Joe Mixon. This guy will get a ton of touches”

Super Bowl Odds - Betfred*

@Bengalorian:

Score Prediction: “Bengals by 7”
Super Bowl Winner: “Cincinnati Bengals”
Super Bowl MVP: “Joe Burrow”

The predictions are in, the players will undoubtedly be ready. SoFi stadium will be raucous and we cannot wait.

Neutral

@FO_ASchatz:

Score Prediction: LA Rams 31-20 Cincinnati Bengals

Super Bowl Winner: LA Rams.

Super Bowl MVP: Stafford MVP. I think that the Bengals have been writing a fairly unsustainable defensive performance given that their defense was mediocre during the regular season, and that will come back to earth in the Super Bowl. Meanwhile, Burrow will make some plays but also take sacks because the Rams will overwhelm his offensive line.
